The National Theatre is partnering with the NHS to invite 400 healthcare workers to watch Nye on stage and in cinemas for free on Tuesday, April 23. The play follows the life of NHS founder Aneurin 'Nye' Bevan and is running at the Olivier Theatre until May 11.
What’s more, 1,000 more NHS workers from across the UK have been invited to watch the recording of the play at Vue cinemas, in collaboration with National Theatre Live.
Tim Price's latest play, Nye, charts the life of the NHS’s founder. Directed by Rufus Norris, the role is played by Michael Sheen, making a stand-out appearance in the equally impressive play, according to the latest reviews.
Confronted with death, Aneurin ‘Nye’ Bevan’s deepest memories lead him on a mind-bending journey back through his life; from childhood to mining underground, Parliament, and fights with Churchill.
