The Bachelor’s Alex Marks and Alicia Oates are planning a bumper weekend wedding despite briefly splitting after the show aired.

Oates branded Marks a “grade A t***” in a since deleted Twitter post after he was shown kissing multiple women throughout the Channel 5 series.

But despite watching his antics on screen, the pair said it helped them to rekindle their romance after they split in January.

“It brought back really heavy emotions of joy and love for me,” Marks told OK! magazine. “It relit a thousand emotions, and I realised how much I missed her. I knew we had to get back together.

“We had to live like spies as we had to keep the relationship a secret until the show aired, which put a strain on us.”

Marks said he has an “undeniable chemistry” with Essex-born Oates, despite branding them “total opposites”.

The pair have already discussed plans for their wedding, which will see Oates’ fellow Bachelor competitors invited as well as show host Mark Wright.

“Alicia told me that her wedding dress will have a long train that is attached by Velcro so she can rip it off for all the dancing,” Marks said.

“She’ll have a goblet of pink gin in one hand and the other one free to rave. Mark [Wright] will play a part in our wedding. Victoria and Gabriella will be there, too. I can see it all.”

The couple posted a sweet tribute after the final aired earlier this month, with both sharing a video montage of their time on the show.

“A very happy ending to what was the most incredibly challenging and emotional journey for us both,” they posted.

Marks described the experience as “surreal” while Oates said she will “treasure each and every message [she] received” from fans.

The final saw Marks choose between Oates and newcomer Charlotte Tyler.
