Murray pleased with fitness levels
Andy Murray believes he is developing the physical fortitude to perform at the top level every week on the ATP Tour.
The 19-year-old British number one made it through to the quarter-finals of the Rogers Cup Masters Series event in Toronto with a 6-4 6-2 win over Carlos Moya, having been in the final of the Legg Mason Classic in Washington DC only last Sunday.
"It's the first time I've made the final of a tournament, then won three matches the next week," said Murray, who will face Jarkko Nieminen in the last eight. "That's obviously a good sign. I've won them all in straight sets, which has been good as well. I haven't had too many long matches."
He added: "At my age, I do need to get physically stronger. This is a first step.
"I might be feeling a little bit tired, but I'm in the quarter-finals of a Masters Series event for the first time with a good chance to make the semis.
"Regardless of how I'm feeling on Friday, I'm still going to go out there and give it my best shot."
